Pre-Professional Studies

SDC’s Pre-Professional Studies program is designed to offer Level 6 and 7 students the opportunity for additional weekly dance and academic hours in order to prepare for a college dance major or dance career.  Dancers must pass an intensive annual audition evaluating their ballet and modern technique to be accepted into the program.

Most Pre-Professional Studies students will also participate in their school’s off-campus physical education program; this allows them to balance homework, studying, and rest with their Pre-Professional Studies commitment.
